I played various sports throughout high school, into college and socially after entering into the workforce. After getting married and having 3 boys exercise and sports slowly started to take to the back burner. Then my 4 year old son Jack was diagnosed with cancer and then lost his battle 6 months later. I was devastated and felt like doing nothing. Despite of all of this I realized I have 2 amazing boys still here and a great husband and I needed to get back in action. So I joined a gym and started running. But I truly became hooked on exercise again while dropping my boys off for hockey when I saw CrossFit Bloomfield and have not looked back.
This gym is like no other. I was motivated to come on a regular basis and if I missed a few classes I would get texts from my fellow cross fitters. I have not only became physically strong, but mentally strong also. I saw improvements in my body, but most importantly my confidence and ability to do anything!
I recently decided to quit my job in Human Resources to pursue coaching at CFB and it was a great decision. I am truly inspired by all the people I work out with as well as the individuals I get to coach. There is nothing better than coaching a class with various ages, sizes and athletic ability and seeing them reach their goal as the group cheers them on. This is not just a gym but a community of people that inspire each other and I am proud to be apart of improving their health and lives.
