Tyler’s path to becoming a CrossFit coach began when he was 330 pounds at age 25. After becoming determined to lose the weight and gain control of his life, he began to eat right and exercise vigorously. But treadmills and other machines at the globo gyms were boring him fast. Liking the progress, but fearing that the boredom of routine would eventually lead back to laziness, he sought out CrossFit and never looked back.

Tyler lost 130 pounds over the course of just over 2 years and turned his determination to help himself into a determination to help others. He became certified as a personal trainer and also as a CrossFit coach in 2010. He loves helping the people he coaches set and achieve goals, break records, or just surprise themselves with how far they’ve come since beginning CrossFit — whether it’s their 3rd class or their 300th. He knows how good it feels because he’s been there himself, at every step.
