We have to make smart choices in how we fuel our bodies.  Many of us use the word “DIET”. Truth be told.. it never works!  Think about it, we all go on a diet, and what happens…. you fall right back into the unhealthy eating patterns you were doing before.

Let’s keep it simple:  Instead of the word diet, use the word “lifestyle” changes. You are already here looking for information about learning how to get your body in the best shape, look good and have a lot of energy right?

Our bodies were not meant to absorb all of the processed foods that we eat. This is what has caused the many diseases facing our nation today. Everything from, Type 2 Diabetes, High cholesterol, High blood pressure, Pulmonary lung disorder, Joint problems, Liver problems, Low self esteem, Childhood Obesity, Adult obesity,  and Lower life expectancy.

Question: What do you suggest that I do to eat properly?

Jordan: Eat whole foods

Question: Please be more specific.

Jordan: Base your diet on vegetables, lean meats, nuts and seeds, little starch, and no sugar.

Protein should be lean and varied and account for about 30% of your total caloric load.
Carbohydrates should be predominantly low-glycemic and be about 40% of your total caloric load.
Fat should be predominantly monounsaturated and account for about 30% of your total caloric load.
