Age 45. I am an attorney and CPA by training. By profession, I own a film finance company.
- How long have you been doing Crossfit?
I have been doing Crossfit since June, 2013.
- Why do you Crossfit?
I initially started Crossfit because it did not look boring. I continue to do Crossfit because it is challenging and fun and the people are wonderful. Crossfit has helped me get in the best shape of my life. I love pushing the mental and physical aspects Crossfit workouts throw at you. I love being strong and doing things for myself because of the strong, fit body Crossfit helped build.
- What is your favorite movement?
Deadlifts.
- What is your least favorite movement?
Overhead squats.
- Do you follow a particular diet to fuel your training? Favorite foods?
I started really focusing on appropriate macronutrients about six months ago. I track protein, carbs and fat grams every day to make sure I hit my macro goals. Favorite foods to fuel performance – mashed potatoes! But if it fits within the macros, I will eat it.
- What are your short-term goals?
String together more than 50 double unders and hit a 250 pound deadlift.
- What are your long-term goals?
Do a strict pull up.
- What is your biggest achievement at CFB?
Showing up 4-5 days per week for 2 ½ years.
